Mo's Challenge # 170

Lace and Ribbon!

Actually, Mo's Challenge this week is to use either  lace, ribbon, or both on your card or project.
I chose to use both as I think they go beautifully together.

Isn't this a fun image? She makes me smile just looking at her! Love the look on the
 Boston Terrier's face, too!

Mo's Challenge #169

 Valentine Boxes

I made these boxes for our granddaughter to give to her classmates on Valentine's Day.
They measure 2 1/2" square and are 1 1/4" deep...just big enough to hold a few candy treats!
They are fairly easy to make, but time-consuming when making 17 of them!
I punched out the different elements, and she decorated them herself.
The directions for the box are here, but I used a 7" square for the top and 6 3/4" square for the bottom of the box.

Paper: Recollections DP

Tools: MS Bird and Heart punches, McGill Envelope punch, Tiny heart punch

Embellishments: Roses from Wild Orchid

 Embossing....Wet or Dry!

Mo's Challenge this week is to make a card or project using
one of Mo's fabulous images and embossing using either the wet or dry technique.
I've chosen to use dry embossing on this card.

I love this image and can't believe I haven't used it before!
The little matching origami box  is one of several I'm making for
our granddaughter to giveto her classmates on Valentine's Day.
They will have a few little treats inside.

This is another view which shows a bit of the shine from the Spica pen I used
to highlight her boa and tiara.

Inside: "Wishing you the best of everything on your special day!"

Images: "Diva" from Mo's Digital Pencil, Computer-generated sentiment

Tools: Copics, White gel pen, Spica pens, MS Lace border punch, Cuttlebug with
embossing folder, Mounting tape

Papers: SU! Mambo Melon &Turquoise, Recollections DP, Neenah white,
 PTI white (card base)

Embellishments: Grosgrain ribbon, Prima flowers, White mini brads

I hope you'll join us in Mo's Challenge this week for a chance to win a $5.00 gift certificate to Mo's Store. She has so many great new images for you!

Mo's Challenge #168

Something New

I hope you'll join us in Mo's Challenge this week. The theme is "Something New"
which is open to your  interpretation.
I chose to make a card for a new baby girl.

This card uses one of Mo's adorable little Fairies. This is the older version of Flora....the newer one doesn't have pointy ears!

Tools: Copics, Glitter gel pen, Cuttlebug with embossing folder and Spellbinder's Daisy dies, Martha Stewart Butterfly punch, Nellie Snellen embossing leaf punch set, Corner rounder punch

Papers: SU! Vanilla and Pretty in Pink CS, PTI white CS

Embellishments: Grosgrain ribbon, Flower Soft, Pearl cabochons

Make a card or project that fits this week's theme of "Something New" using
one of Mo's great images for a chance to win a $5.00 gift certificate to her shop.
She gives away one certificate for every 50 entries!

Good luck!

Rick's Sparkle and Glitter Challenge

New Beginnings!

The idea for this challenge is anything new...a new design, color combination, technique, etc. ,
or you can do as I did and make a card or project to celebrate someone's new beginning.
In this case it's a new home.

This card uses Rick St. Dennis' pretty "Three Chimney Cottage", one of several pretty images in a series inspired by the lovely English countryside.

The color combination is a bit off-beat, but I really like it! I picked up the colors I used in the image.

Tools: Copics, Cuttlebug with embossing folders And Nestie die,  SU! Ribbon slot punch, Martha Stewart Lace border punch

Papers: SU! Gray, Garden Green, More Mustard, and Vanilla CS, Neenah smooth white (for image)

Embellishments: Satin ribbon
